The Port of Southampton is one of the largest and most diverse ports in Europe, handling more than 55,000 commercial vessel movements and over 34 million tonnes of cargo each year.
As well as being a World-class hub port for containers and new vehicles, Southampton handles a wide range of other trades including cruise ships, grain, fruit and fresh produce and liquid bulks..
Thanks to the presence of a large oil refinery at Fawley, together with an oil terminal at Hamble, the port is also a major handler of tanker traffic.
The Cruise Terminals see an abundance of Ocean going liners on a weekly basis. These ships are very exciting to follow and see out of the port.

The port was also the original flying boat departure point.
It was also where the fateful Titanic set sail from on her maiden voyage
Close by are the Marinas of Town Quay and Ocean Village where C2 RIBS can collect you for your boat trip.
Opposite is another marina on The New Forest side called Hythe which has a controlled lock entrance.
